Not recommended - did not honour warranty

I purchased a ring from Schneider's Fine Jewellery to give to my partner. One of the stones fell off within the first 7 weeks due to one of three claws which holds it snapping off. The owner refused to refund me or repair the ring even though it was under a 12-month warranty.

After a visit and several phone calls he offered to repair it at half price (being $47 for a $196 ring), consistently blaming my partner for the damage even though I asserted she was doing nothing out of the ordinary and it broke in less than 2 months.

I would avoid any store where the owner refuses to honour a warranty and blames the customer for the inferior quality of his store's goods!
