Ha-Lu offers Perth diners authentic Japanese cuisine, rarely seen outside of Japan. The style of dining can be likened to the famous Izakaya, where diners can partake of various meals that are presented on an "as it comes" basis. For those that are unfamiliar with this style of dining, it opens the dining experience to a far greater social level.

Ha-Lu has a full, comprehensive a la carte menu available for dine in. For those that may want to pop in on their way home, a take-away menu is also available.

ABOUT HA-LU JAPANESE RESTAURANT

Ha-Lu has taken Japanese dining to new levels rarely seen before in Perth. As opposed to structuring a meal that comprises of entree and main course offerings, Ha-Lu offers it patrons a meal which encourages social intercouse around the dining table.

The dining style is very similar to the famous Izaka-ya offerings where patrons will meet with friends and work colleagues after a long day to have a drink and share in a laugh or two. To accompany their evening, patrons will order several small dishes to compliment their beverages. The various dishes will arrive as soon as they have been prepared by the kitchen. In other words, there is no order and it comes when it is ready.

Although Ha-Lu offers an extremely large range of Sake, Shochu and Japanese beer (as well as local wine and beer), the emphasis is not so much on the drinking, but the enjoyment of food and the company of friends and family.

With such a large menu on offer, there will always be something to tempt the appetite and the curiosity.

Most diners will order two or three courses per person. However, it is very rare that they will be able to eat their meal without sharing a bite or two with their fellow diners. Each course is extremely tempting, all being prepared by our Japanese chefs.
